Next Meeting - Tuesday 8 August 7:30pm - 9pm Royal Society rooms

Our next meeting will be held at the Royal Society rooms on Tuesday 8 August from 7:30pm to 9pm - see the branch meetings section below for venue details.

Our guest speaker is Sam Stanley from FNZC. Sam will be presenting on the philosophy of technical analysis, the psychology of markets, and how this can help time your buy and sell actions. 
 
As usual there is no cost for this meeting and light refreshments will be served.
 
Branch Meetings

We meet on the second Tuesday of most months from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. Our meetings are held at the Royal Society rooms 11 Turnbull Street, Thorndon, just opposite New World on Murphy Street. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the main bus and railway station and there is good parking after 5pm at the Royal Society or on Murphy Street. 
 
The Royal Society car parks are around the perimeter of the building and can be used. There are also paid Wilson car parks, these are marked private and there is a yellow line delineating them from the Royal Society car parks.

2017 Investor Conference 

The NZ Shareholders association 2017 Investor Conference is being held in Wellington on Saturday, 19 August 2017 at the James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel.
 
The theme of the conference is "A World of Change in a Changing World". Doors open at 8:30am for registration and morning tea, lunch is provided and the conference wraps up around 4pm.
 
Come along and learn from top line speakers and share your experiences with other shareholders. The conference is only held in Wellington once every 10 years so make the most of this opportunity! There is no cost for NZSA members, members of the public are very welcome - cost $50.

Shareholder Education Courses

We will be running shareholder education courses over the weekend of 14/15 October in Wellington. The courses will be four hours (two sessions of two hours each, with a break in the middle) and cover the basics of investing and how to get started. No prior investment knowledge is assumed. 

The courses will be taken by John Hawkins Chair of NZSA. The cost is $25 for NZSA members and $100 for non-members.
