Next Branch Meeting - Tuesday 14 August
Our guest speaker is  Lindis Jones, GM Corporate, Z Energy.
Lindis he held the position of GM Commercial before taking on his current role as GM  Corporate, responsible for Z’s strategy and M&A team as well as Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and Innovation. Previously he was Head of Property at ANZ National Bank. Prior to that, he was with Shell for 13 years, primarily in retail operations and strategy in Europe, Asia and New Zealand. Lindis will be updating us on Z Energys recent performance in the market and outline how he sees the company continued development of its business. 
As usual there is no cost for this meeting and light refreshments will be served.

Branch Meetings

We meet on the second Tuesday of most months from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. Our meetings are held at the Royal Society rooms 11 Turnbull Street, Thorndon, just opposite New World on Murphy Street. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the main bus and railway station and there is good parking after 5pm at the Royal Society or on Murphy Street. 
The Royal Society car parks are around the perimeter of the building and can be used. There are also paid Wilson car parks, these are marked private and there is a yellow line delineating them from the Royal Society car parks.

   and Adrian Parkyn.

  Committee members Mark Ireland and Adrian Parkyn share
  what they have learnt about setting up and managing an
  investment club.  Adrian shows an example of being in a
  share club and also having a personal portfolio.
  Mark talks about his investment club and the value that
  it has provided and the comfort that comes from ‘learn by
  doing’ together and pooling resources to do so.

  Gordon ‘Gordy’ MacLeod, CEO, Ryman Healthcare.

  Heavy rock concert enthusiast, Holden HSV fanatic,
  kilt wearer, whisky connoisseur, proud Cantabrian
  and also some pretty impressive business credentials…
  which includes being the head of New Zealand's biggest
  listed retirement business. 
  Gordy will be sharing his views on the aged care market,
  how Ryman’s is positioned in this market and the challenges
  and opportunities they have in front of them.

  Martin Hawes, AFA and financial author. 

  Martin is an Authorised Financial Adviser, a Columnist with the
  Sunday Star Times, seminar presenter and a financial author
  with over 20 books to his name. Most of his  books have
  appeared on the Best-sellers list.  Expect a lively and
  informative presentation!
